Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using WIMM (Where Is My Money), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.
2. Description of Service
WIMM is a personal finance tracking tool designed to help you organize your financial records through a local transaction tape and categories. WIMM operates as a local-first application, meaning your data is stored primarily on your device in an encrypted vault file.
3. Data Ownership and Responsibility
You retain full ownership of all data entered into WIMM. Because WIMM stores data locally in your personal vault file, you are solely responsible for:
- Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your vault file and any associated passwords.
- Backing up your vault file to prevent data loss.
- Ensuring the accuracy of the information you input.
WIMM developers do not have access to your vault file and cannot recover your data if it is lost or if you forget your password.
4. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use WIMM for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not, in the use of the service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction.
5. Intellectual Property
The WIMM application, including its design, code, and trademarks, is the intellectual property of its creators. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive license to use the application for tracking your personal finances.
6. Limitation of Liability
WIMM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APPLICATION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA OR FINANCIAL DISCREPANCIES.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of WIMM following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
